The first molding, filling and sealing integrated vertical packaging machine

[Chinese Packaging News] Bosch Packaging's PME 4001 ZAP Vertical Forming-Filling-Sealing Machine enables the world's first use of recyclable paper webs to produce sealed paper bags. The bagging machine is suitable for free flowing dry products.

Other highlights:

Mechanical Innovation: Based on Bosch Packaging's proven "PME" concept, it is the first VFFS and ZAP-module. This module allows for a minimum surface area sealant on the coating to protect the monomaterial nature of the paper.

Packaging material: Monomaterial AxelloZAP is more durable than traditional paper but retains the characteristics and advantages of its natural paper and is recycled from the source. AxelloZAP reliably withstands strong mechanical requirements during the production process and is a better packaging material.

Exclusive coiled paper supplier: Swedish paper specialist Billerud Korsnäs developed paper with optimized mechanical properties.

Products: Free flowing dry products such as sugar, pasta, cereals, powders.

Bag styles: pillows, gussets and square bottom pockets and flat roofs.

We will soon provide a pilot to provide customers with more details. However, the key factor is that it allows to retain the natural properties of the remaining 100% recyclable material at the same time.

The concept of sealed paper packaging is in combination with BillerudKorsnas single material Axello ZAP paper. In addition, the paper laminates can be easily used on the machine without the need for water vapour, grease or gas barriers.

Regardless of the packaging material, the mechanical output of the gusseted bag is up to 40 bags per minute and up to 55 bags per minute are laminated bags. However, the output for the pillow bag is as high as 65 bags per minute.

The size of the bag can vary from 240 mm / 9.5 inches in width to 440 mm / 17.3 inches in length. The current maximum loading weight is 1 kg (2.2 lbs).

The first PME 4001 ZAP machine was installed in Pfeifen and LanGen. It is the third largest sugar producer in Europe and the first product in 2016 was sold in stores throughout Germany.

This new production packaging solution provides a wide range of dry products, such as sugar, grain, flour or powder dust packaging.
