Annual Recycling of Waste Separation Resources in Suzhou by 110,000 tons

"Garbage needs to be classified and resources can be recycled." Yesterday afternoon, environmental experts from Denmark gave lectures to the school green committee, members of the Green Society and teachers and students about the ecological environment, garbage classification, etc. at the Suzhou University. This is a specific campaign conducted by the Suzhou Eco-waste Management Project in Suzhou pilot units.

According to the survey, 30% to 40% of the municipal solid wastes are classified as available resources. Recovering 100 tons of waste paper can regenerate 80 tons of high-quality paper and save 400 cubic meters of natural wood. Recycling 1 ton of waste plastic can extract 700 kg of unleaded gasoline. Taking the base of 1,000 tons of garbage generated in the urban area of ​​Suzhou City as an estimate, at least 110,000 tons of resources can be recycled annually.

It is understood that the Suzhou Ecological Waste Management Project is an EU-Asian urban construction project jointly applied by Esbjerg, Denmark and Venice, Italy, and Suzhou.
