1. Gray balance. According to the experience of theory and production practice, the most difficult color to control for printed matter is gray balance. The gray balance is that under certain printing suitability, the three primary colors of yellow, magenta, and cyan are combined from a light to a deep, and a certain dot ratio is combined to obtain achromatic colors of different brightness (white, light gray, gray, dark gray, black) Obtaining the color of visual neutral gray has many factors that affect it. The amount of ink used in printing, paper, full-page density, dot area, overprinting and screen line number will have inextricable effects on the gray balance. It is the most test of the machine's overprinting accuracy and operator's skill level.
2. 4-color screen and 3-color screen, do not print the full color (recommended to use spot color printing).
3. The things designed by people who do not understand printing are the most difficult to print. The color is on the one hand, too many very thin, very small characters and so on.
4. The large flat screen with C = 50, M = 50, Y = 50, K = 50 is slightly distorted if it is a little inaccurate.
5. The text is four-color, that is, there are texts in the four colors in cmyk, especially the very small words, which are difficult to put on, and the requirements for the gripper of the machine are extremely high. This is also a relatively common problem, so before printing, the designer must check the black text in the publication file, especially the small print, whether it is only on the black version, and should not appear on other three-color versions. If it appears, the quality of the finished product will be greatly reduced. When the RGB graphics are converted to CMYK graphics, the black text will definitely become four-color black. Unless otherwise specified, it must be dealt with.
6. There is also a black background that is not easy to handle. In order to achieve the effect, the black background can be printed with special black ink or printed twice, which is not difficult to print and is more laborious.
7. Superposition of several color dots, especially over 70% dots. Specifically, dark brown, brown, dark green (flat screen, containing blue 70), dark blue, purple blue, etc., because of the color difference, it is difficult to find balance on the printing machine, so they are all difficult to print.
8. Generally full-page things in printing, full-color or larger area of spot color, reverse white characters, same logo, and same color block, it is generally difficult to follow the color, easy to produce color difference, ghosting, dirty, scratch Injury phenomenon.
9. Fine text in gold and silver. Professionals say that small texts are afraid of batch process dry plates, which must be controlled in process, the plates should be wiped clean, the viscosity of the ink should be controlled at about 14, and pay attention to dry plates.
In short, qualified prints must meet:
1. Accurate overprinting; 2. Uniform ink color; 3. Full dots; 4. Ink and ink balance; 5. No printing failures, such as rubbing, scratching, pattern, paste, etc .; 6. Strict loyalty to the original. We must pursue high-quality prints to adapt to people's increasing aesthetics.
